Scenic Quick Reference Guide

Guide provides order deadlines for rentals. Offered on roundtrip Ushuaia Antarctica sailings only. Please refer to the guide below.


  • IMPORTANT ----- ORDER BY DEADLINES: Order by dates depend on departure. Find your ship and embarkation date below to determine when you need to order your gear by. Gear ordered after the deadline may not be able to be sent to the ship. Please contact Customer Service



        • Antarctica:

      • Antarctica: On roundtrip Ushuaia sailings, waterproof gloves, base layer, neck gaiter and a warm hat are also available to rent.

      • NOTE: Some items in the Complete Rental Package are NOT available for exchange (or refund) once delivered on board the ship (Expedition Stretch Pkg, Gloves, Explorer's Hat and Neck Gaiter). PLEASE review sizing charts carefully before placing your order. If you're unsure or in between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

      • Complimentary Gear: Scenic is pleased to offer booked guests an included keepsake jacket (yours to keep) and use of boots. Trekking poles will be available for use during your voyage.

      • NOTE:Voyages that start and finish in Buenos Aires, Argentina Rental Gear NOT available.

      • Concierge ON BOARD DELIVERY: Onboard Delivery of purchased gear is NOT OFFERED at this time.

      • Gear ordered but not used - No refund for any/all rental items after they have been delivered to the ship, if even they have not been used/unopened/returned to staff.: no rental refund. Refer to the Rentals Cancellation Policy.

      • Damage Deposit - Damage Fee(s) will be applied to the credit card used to rent gear. If any of the gear is not returned or returned damaged the following rates apply: Boots: US$100, Pants: US$60, Poles: US$70, Stretch Package: US$100, Gloves: US$50, Explorers Hat: US$40, Neck Gaiter: US$20

      • Trip Interruption/Cancellation: On sailings where your trip is cancelled or interrupted by the cruise company: rental fees not refunded.
